Three men charged after attempt to steal mini diggers from Trafford Park firm



Three men have been charged after an attempt to steal mini diggers and other plant machinery in Trafford Park yesterday.

Dean Goodwin, 32, of Macdonald Avenue, Bolton has been charged with Burglary other than a dwelling with intent to steal.

Sean Hardman, 27, of Parkfield Avenue, Bolton has been charged with Burglary other than a dwelling with intent to steal.

Arly Tudge, 22, of Macdonald Avenue, Bolton has been charged with Burglary other than a dwelling with intent to steal.

They have been remanded into custody and are due to appear at Manchester Magistrates Court today (Tuesday 28 December 2021.)

A fourth man also arrested in connection with this incident has been bailed pending further enquires.

In a statement Greater Manchester Police said: “Police were called just after 2:30pm yesterday (Monday 27 December) to reports from a security company monitoring CCTV that a group of men were attempting to steal mini diggers and plant equipment.

“Officers attended, along with police dogs and the National Police Air Service. Following a search, four men were arrested on suspicion of burglary, and all plant machinery was recovered.”
