NFL star gives McDonald’s workers £150 tip each after stopping for Christmas scran

An NFL star gave several McDonald’s staff members a Christmas to remember by handing them all a wad of cash ahead of the big day.

An over-the-moon worker couldn’t help but tell the world about the encounter she and her colleagues had with Buffalo Bills star Stefon Diggs.

They would have been surprised to see the wide receiver sat in his car waiting to be served in the drive-thru of their branch in West Seneca, near Buffalo.

And they would have been even more shocked when the 28-year-old pulled out a wad of cash and started dishing it out to every staff member as a gift.

One worker couldn’t contain her excitement as she told her social media followers about their experience.

“Meeting the legend Stefon Diggs was an absolute honour. Gave everyone working $200 each. Bills mafia for life tho,” wrote Mackenzie Ellerbrock.

That caption was posted along with a video, in which she showed off the cash and said: “Okay, but you know you’re a real lucky motherf***er when Stefon Diggs comes through the f***ing drive-thru and hands you $200 each.”

Whatever Diggs ordered to eat from McDonalds, it certainly didn’t affect his performance for the Bills’ Boxing Day blockbuster against the New England Patriots.

The New York State-based side took revenge on the Pats for their defeat in Buffalo earlier this month by beating them 33-21 to make it a very merry Christmas for their travelling support.

Diggs was one of four touchdown scorers for the Bills, as quarterback Josh Allen ran the show in Foxborough.

He received the ball seven times for 85 yards gained, but his performance will be remembered most for the way he celebrated his touchdown, which gave the Bills a 17-7 lead just before half-time.

After catching the ball in the end zone, Diggs walked up to a group of Patriots fans and pointed at them, before appearing to tell them to “suck my f***ing d**k”.

The foul-mouthed incident was picked up by a nearby microphone, before he was mobbed by team-mates celebrating the successful drive.
