Former swim coach arrested over historical sexual abuse allegations relating to teen girls in the 1970s

Renowned swimming coach Dick Caine has been arrested over the alleged sexual abuse of young teenage athletes he was training.

In January last year, NSW Police received information about multiple allegations of sexual and indecent assaults of a teenage girl at a swim school at Carss Park, in Sydney’s south, in the 1970s.

Strike Force Coco was established by officers from Kings Cross.

The investigation uncovered further allegations of another teenage girl being abused at the same swim school.

Caine, 76, was arrested at a home in Condell Park this morning.

He has been taken to Bankstown Police Station.

Police will give an update later this morning.
