Injury has struck down Fremantle spearhead Matt Taberner again.
The towering forward was subbed out of the game against Melbourne at three-quarter time with a back concern.
The timing could not have been worse, with Fremantle having snatched all the momentum back after kicking eight goals to one in the third quarter to storm to the lead.
The Dockers had kicked just two majors before the main break.
Taberner struggled through training on Friday but passed a late test before the game to be named and looked unencumbered throughout the first half, kicking two goals before the trouble started.
He left the ground for treatment mid-way through the third term, where the medical team took him through various stretches, focusing on the lower back.
He returned to the field but barely lasted five minutes before being pulled off again and putting on his jumper as sub Bailey Banfield was activated.
