Dancing On Ice ‘s Brianne Delcourt was “traumatised” by the difficult birth of second daughter with footballer hubby Kevin Kilbane.

Brianne, 41, welcomed her newborn daughter via c-section, on April 29 – and the new mum has now opened up about the tricky birth and how it didn’t go quite to plan.

The happy couple confirmed the news of their new daughter’s birth, and revealed her sweet name to OK! Magazine when they said: “Our beautiful baby girl born 8:37am ET. We can’t wait to take you home to meet your sisters.”

Brianne and Kevin – who first met when they were partnered together for the 2020 series of Dancing On Ice – also revealed that they have named their second daughter Keavy Anne.

The skating star is already mum to five-year-old Gracie and 15-month-old Olivia, but it was Keavy’s recent birth that was both traumatic and “gruesome”.

Detailing the birth, Brianne has now opened up about the ordeal.

She explained to the magazine that everything was going well until moments before the surgery.

Her footballer husband came into the room which left Brianne feeling nervous, she explained: “I started to get really sweaty and started to see stars.”

Thinking she was going to pass out, the doctors then administered some medicine and she felt a little better before the “gruesome” birth.

Speaking about the c-section, Brianne detailed: “The actual surgery took the longest out of my births.

“With the other two girls it was a 30-minute procedure and then I could hear a cry, but with Keavy it was way over an hour.”

The skating star went on to reveal that the birth went on for one hour and 20 minutes before baby Keavy was born.

Recalling the moment that she was welcomed into the world Brianne said: “This is quite gruesome but blood had spattered right in our faces and she came out but then we didn’t hear a thing.

“I’m panicking at this stage and saying to Kevin, ‘OK, talk to me. What’s going on?’”

But the traumatic birth experience still wasn’t over for Brianne as she was worried that she couldn’t hear her daughter crying.

Sending her hubby to check on their newborn, he didn’t tell her at the time but Keavy had tubes put down her throat where she wasn’t breathing properly.

Thankfully, a short while later, the proud parents heard their baby girl cry for the first time.

The couple announced their second pregnancy as a couple back in November – just nine months after welcoming their first daughter together, Olivia.
