Coronation Street stars look like real-life mum and daughter as they twin in set snap

Coronation Street stars Kel Allen and Millie Gibson could pass for mother and daughter in real-life.

The pair, who play Laura and Kelly Neelan on the ITV soap, posed for a snap on cobbles at the Salford-based set.

Kel, who first appeared in Corrie in 2020 as the estranged wife of loan shark Rick Neelan and mother of Kelly, hasn’t been seen on the soap for months.

She last appeared in the Bistro back in November when Imran Habeeb got her there to find out if she had seen his former foster daughter after Kelly said she was staying with her mum.

In reality, Kelly ended up living on the streets after being released from prison and being forced out of her temporary accomdation.

Before that, the last time Laure saw the teenager was when she threw Kelly under the bus during Seb Franklin’s murder trial.

However, it looks like we’ll be seeing more of Laura.

Kel took to Instagram with a selfie of herself with Millie, writing: “Hello 2022! Back to it with my babba! @milliegibbo.”

Kel confirmed on Twitter just before Christmas that Corrie viewers will be seeing more of her in the New Year.

And speaking to press. including the Manchester Evening News , before the end of the year, Millie said: “Next year for Kelly, she is reunited with the unfortunate face of her mum. I’m nervous for Kelly, this is never good news.

“It will be interesting to see that dynamic – last time she saw her was in court.”

She added: “I love working with Kel, the way we both play it as if we are mother and daughter.”

The pair are regularly seen supporting each other on social media and were spotted on a night out with some of their fellow Corrie stars before the festive season.
