Alexandre Lacazette has found some form after replacing Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang as Arsenal captain, but the Frenchman’s future in north London remains uncertain
Charlie Patino has revealed all on Alexandre Lacazette’s recent training application at Arsenal.
It’s been a rollercoaster season for Lacazette, who failed to get a start in the Premier League until late October.
But he has been in fine form since Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang was dropped from the side, also picking up the armband from his close friend.
French striker Lacazette is out of contract at the end of the season, and it remains to be seen if he will be offered a new deal.
The Athletic report that the 30-year-old is set to depart on a free transfer with contract talks proving unsuccessful.
But he has been praised by Gunners youngster Charlie Patino, who opened up on how hard Lacazette works in training.
Speaking on livestream with Nepenthez, the 18-year-old said: “I do as well [want him to stay].
“I don’t know any information on him, if he’s staying or not, I know as much as you, but he’s working hard in training and doing what the manager wants from him and leading the line with the armband, so he’s obviously doing something right.
“With results and how Arsenal are playing, he’s doing the right thing.”

Arsenal legend Ian Wright has also claimed that he would like Lacazette to sign a new deal at the Emirates.
But with recent reports linking Fiorentina hitman Dusan Vlahovic to the Gunners, Wright admitted that he could be the ideal compromise.
“They’ve done fantastic business up until this point,” he said on the Kelly & Wrighty Show.

“I believe they do need to get another striker, even if everything can be sorted with Aubameyang.
“I’m hearing Vlahovic from Fiorentina. We need that player who can be between Lacazette and Aubameyang.
“I don’t know what’s happening with Laca, I’d love him to stay, I don’t know what’s happening with him, and we don’t know what’s happening with Aubameyang.
“But if we can get that striker, hard-running striker, good link-up play, good finisher, which Vlahovic is, then you’re starting to think it’s starting to happen now for Arsenal.”
